Hello and welcome to Miracle City Counseling! My name is Gerard, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).  I have been serving children, adults, and families in the social services arena for the last 21 years. Beginning in New York City and now here in sunny central Florida, I endeavor in what I strongly believe is my life’s calling in helping improve the overall quality of life for others. With a blend of genuine care and compassion, as well as a keen use of clinical training I received while attending New York University, I am committed to your desire for whatever change you feel is needed in your life. I provide a supportive, non-judgmental, and client-centered atmosphere.

I work with clients beginning at age 5 and all the way through into senior years. My areas of speciality are anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, obsessive-compulsive behaviors, parenting challenges, LGBTQ+ matters, and family issues. To help tackle these issues, I use the scientifically-supported approaches of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique). With children, I also utilize play therapy, narrative therapy, and other expressive techniques to keep the process effective and fun.
