“Seeking guidance is the first, sometimes scary step, but can lead to an abundance of healing and confidence, the ability to grow through adversity, and life-long coping strategies.”

Hello! I’m Julia, a Brevard County native and Registered Clinical Social Work Intern. I provide counseling to children, teenagers, and young adults, with a special focus on helping kids and teens build emotional resilience, work through behavioral challenges, and develop strong social and coping skills. I often support young people navigating anxiety, ADHD, autism spectrum traits, and other emotional or developmental concerns. I’m passionate about creating a safe and supportive space where young people feel comfortable and empowered.
In addition to my work with children and teens, I also support college students and emerging adults navigating the stressors of early adulthood. Identity development, academic pressure, relationship changes, and finding your footing in the world can be daunting. I’m passionate about supporting those stepping into new careers, adjusting to workplace dynamics, or feeling uncertain about their next chapter.
I earned bachelor’s degrees in Social Work and Psychology from Florida State University, where I was involved in clinical research studying how individual differences in cognition impact children’s achievement. I went on to receive my Master’s in Clinical Social Work, which helped me grow my therapeutic skills in a variety of settings. Over the past five years, I’ve worked in community mental health—including in-school counseling, domestic violence advocacy, and bereavement counseling.
I try to meet people with empathy, authenticity, and a deep belief in their ability to grow and heal. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and DBT techniques, as well as a mindfulness-based approach. In my work with kids, I incorporate play therapy to help them express emotions and build skills, and I actively collaborate with parents and caregivers to support progress beyond counseling sessions.
Seeking guidance is the first, sometimes scary step—but it can lead to healing, confidence, and lifelong coping strategies. I would love to support you, or your child, and cheer you on every step of the way!
