Julia Kendall

Registered Clinical Social Work Intern

Seeking guidance is the first, sometimes scary step, but can lead to an abundance of healing and confidence, the ability to grow through adversity, and life-long coping strategies.

serving Ages 5+

Hello! I am Julia, a Registered Clinical Social Work Intern here in Brevard County, Florida. I provide counseling to children, teenagers, and adults. I specialize in coping with grief and loss, life transitions, and helping children build social and emotional skills. I am here to connect with those experiencing the side effects of difficult experiences, life changes, and behaviors that have led to stagnancy and suffering.

I earned bachelor’s degrees in both Social Work and Psychology from Florida State University. I continued on to receive my Master’s in Clinical Social Work, which has allowed me to grow my therapeutic skills in a variety of settings. I have over four years of experience in community mental health settings, from providing support to families experiencing domestic violence as a victim advocate, to providing one-on-one grief counseling as a hospice bereavement counselor. In these roles, I have worked extensively with children and adults to empower lasting coping skills, motivation, and healthy habits so they can experience more happiness and healing in their lives.

My passion for empowering individuals of all ages comes from my background in diverse mental health settings, but also is rooted in my work within FSU’s Department of Psychology, researching the individual differences in cognition in children’s achievement. We are shaped by both our genetics and our life experiences. Seeking guidance is the first, sometimes scary step, but can lead to an abundance of healing and confidence, the ability to grow through adversity, and life-long coping strategies.
